  • Swimming is only permitted when lifeguards are on duty.
    • Always obey the lifeguards; they are here for your safety.
    • Parents must watch children; lifeguards enforce rules and ensure safety.
  • For the health and safety of our swimmers:
    • Please shower before entering the pool.
    • Persons with open sores are not permitted in the pool.
    • Parents are asked to keep sick children out of the pool.
    • Children under the age of 3 must wear a swim diaper in the pool.
  • Age Requirements (Adult = 18 Years or Older)
    • Children 11 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.
    • Children 5 years and under must be accompanied in the water.
    • Children may be required to take a swim test.
    • Children ages 12 – 17 being dropped off need to have a waiver signed by parent/guardian.
  • Bathing Attire
    • All swimmers must wear a bathing suit.
    • Clean, properly fitting T-shirts are permitted as protection from the sun.
    • Street clothes, cut-offs, and thongs are not permitted in the pool.
  • Floatation
    • Only U.S. Coast Guard approved floatation devices are permitted.
    • Swimmers in vests must always have an adult within arm’s reach.
    • Inflatables are NOT permitted.
  • Behavior
    • Running, improper behavior, horseplay, fighting, inappropriate language, etc. may result in dismissal from the facility.
    • Breath-holding games and extended underwater swimming is prohibited.
  • Food and Drinks
    • No glass containers are permitted within the facility.
    • Alcohol is NOT permitted.
    • Please be courteous to other guests and the facility by cleaning up the area after use.
    • Coolers are permitted.
  • Notice
    • Maximum capacity is 209 people.
    • The Palm Bay Aquatic Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
    • No smoking or vaping.
    • No gum.
    • No pets except for service animals.
    • There is a fee to use the pool.
    • Please do not leave children unattended.
  • Basic Pool Rules
    • No jumping in from the side of the pool.
    • No running.
    • No whistles.
    • No fake drowning/still floating.
    • No snorkels.
    • No goggles.
    • Specified lap swim times are for exercise lap swimming only.
  • Zero Zone/Splash Pad
    • Do not hang on the ropes or cross ropes blocking off slide area.
    • Small yellow slide: patrons must sit on their bottom with feet first going down slide, one person at a time.
    • Mermaid tails or connected fins/flippers are not allowed.
    • Water guns are NOT permitted.
  • Lap Lanes
    • No hanging on the lane lines.
    • The swimming blocks are for swim teams and swim lessons only; they are not to be used by the public.
  • Dive Well
    • No running on the diving boards.
    • Jump off the board facing forward.
    • No lifejackets or goggles on the diving boards.
    • No one can “catch” a person or wait for them in the water.
    • No backflips, gainers, double flips, or backward dives.
    • Diving well is only used for jumping off the diving boards.
    • A maximum of two jumps is allowed.
    • You must swim to the ladder that is closest to the diving board you jumped off.
  • The Big Blue Slide
    • Patrons must meet the height requirement of 44 inches tall and be able to get to the ladder safely.
    • No lifejackets or goggles while going down the slide.
    • Follow all rules of the sign at the top and bottom of the slide.
    • Always go down on back and feet first, no turning in the slide.
    • If the lifeguard feels uncomfortable with someone going down the slide, they may ask them to stop.
    • No one can wait at the bottom for a person to come out to “catch” them.
    • You may not enter the slide or slide down unless given permission by the lifeguard.
    • Do not climb up the slide.

Please listen to all lifeguards and staff; they are there to ensure everyone’s safety. Failure to listen to the pool rules and lifeguards may result in being removed from the section of the pool, removal from the facility, or being banned from the facility.
