General Rules

  • No food or drink allowed in the gym.
  • Dress code will be strictly enforced.
  • No profanity or swearing.
  • While in the community center, everyone is treated with respect.
  • Abusive language and physical contact are strictly prohibited.
  • Hanging from the rim is prohibited.
  • No one under the age of 9 is permitted in the basketball gym during open gym unless directly supervised* by a parent/legal guardian age 18+. Older siblings under the age of 18 are not permitted to supervise children under the age of 9. 
  • No one under the age of 5 is permitted in the basketball gym during open gym activities. This includes, but is not limited to, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and badminton. 
  • The mezzanine and rooms are closed except during programmed activities. 
  • Storage rooms, bleachers, and spaces behind the bleachers are off limits and not to be accessed by the general public. 
  • Staff has final authority in application and interpretation of rules.
  • Rules, regulations, and policies may change without notice. 
  • Violations of the rules will result in disciplinary actions up to and including dismissal from the facility and suspension of membership and facility usage. 
  • No organized practices or games during open gym.
  • No bouncing basketballs in hallways, lobby, or bathrooms. 

Weight Room

  • No one under the age of 13 is permitted in the weight room or cardio room. 
  • Children ages 13-15 can use the weight room or cardio room, but MUST be directly supervised* by a parent/legal guardian age 18+. 
  • Participants ages 16-17 MUST have a signed waiver by their parent/legal guardian to use the weight room or cardio room. 
  • An updated waiver will need to be signed each year. 
  • Anyone using the weight room or cardio room will need to have an active membership.

*Directly supervised is defined as participating in the same activity as the child or observing the child while not participating in a different activity. 


Minor Misconduct Violations

  • Smoking or vaping
  • Improper dress
  • Minor profanity
  • Failure to follow staffs' instruction
  • Littering
  • Minor harassment of other patrons

1 - 2 Minor Violations: Up to 5-day suspension at supervisor's discretion
3 or more Minor Violations: Up to 14-day suspension at supervisor's discretion

Major Misconduct Violations

  • Fighting
  • Excessive profanity
  • Excessive arguing
  • Breaking suspension
  • Theft
  • Defiance of staff
  • Use of alcohol or drugs
  • Possession of weapons
  • Major harassment of other patrons or staff
  • Being in unauthorized area of building
  • Vandalism to building, property, or equipment
  • Sneaking into the facility/sneaking someone in

1 Major Violation: 30-day suspension with possibility of trespass
2 Major Violations: 60-day suspension with possibility of trespass
3 or more Major Violations: Permanent suspension and trespass
