Depending upon the time of year, you may even catch some seasonal décor with your favorite tunes playing in the background. To engage with patients both in AND out of the chair, they host giveaways and friendly, competitive challenges for chances to win swag and other items. “My visit there was early in the morning so I was able to see patients walking in. Usually when you go to the dentist, you don’t have a smile on your face…but you could tell their patients were happy to be there!” says Mayor Rob Medina.
Goff Orthodontics has experienced significant business growth since opening its doors in 2011. They have since expanded to three other locations throughout Brevard County: including Melbourne, Titusville, and Merritt Island. Aside from providing superior care in the office, they are actively involved in the community by supporting local charities, sponsoring athletic and performing arts programs, and providing monetary contributions to almost 30 public and private schools.
Through the creation of their nonprofit organization, Brilliant Smiles Kidz Klozet, they are able to provide essential clothing and shoes to underserved students, meals to families in need during the holidays, and educate children on proper oral hygiene through an interactive educational program, Violette the Tooth Fairy. This initiative focuses on teaching students (pre-K through second grade) how to care for their teeth and be junior dentists through song and dance. As an added benefit, the program provides teachers with one unit of teaching and a unit of physical activity time they are required to provide to their students. This program is offered to all Brevard County schools at no charge!

Congratulations to Trattoria Bella!
(2024 Quarter One Winner)
“Beautiful Italian Dining”.
Trattoria Bella, which is located at 2155 Palm Bay Road NE, offers a taste of little Italy right here in Palm Bay. Owners Julia Kogutiak and Chef Fabrizio Pintus, along with their amazing staff, create a delightful dining experience that brings out the Italian in all of us. A true hidden gem here in Palm Bay, Trattoria Bella has been a destination for foodies across the nation, and their customer base continues to grow.
Trattoria Bella opened its doors in September of 2021 and has become a staple restaurant for authentic Italian cuisine since then. Upon arriving at the restaurant, you become immersed in your surroundings with the beautiful outdoor seating, the classic red and white checkered tablecloths, the flag of Italy, and the wonderful décor. However, it is not the beauty of the restaurant that brings customers back; it is the food. Chef Fabrizio has over 20 years of experience and has cooked in many countries across Europe, such as Italy, Ireland, Greece, and Monaco. He brings his experience as well as family recipes to create amazing dishes that you cannot find anywhere else.
Trattoria Bella has seen growth in many avenues of their business. Since their establishment, they have now added nine new staff members, grown to over 3,000 followers on Facebook, and seen an increase in revenue and customers. To better serve their customers and the increasing demand, Trattoria Bella would like to either open a second location or move into a bigger location, as well as obtain a liquor license to serve cocktails and other beverages.
Trattoria Bella also adds a fusion of Ukrainian dishes. Julia Kogutiak, who is of Ukrainian descent, has also added dishes to the menu that are a piece of her culture. The Potato Mascarpone Ravioli was a popular dish in Eastern Europe; however, they added an Italian twist by creating a potato dish into a ravioli. A must-try for those who love comfort food.
Having a significant online presence as well as great food and service, Trattoria Bella has maintained high customer reviews on Yelp, Facebook, and Trip Advisor. Based on their reviews, the recurring theme is the amazing food and customer service. Julia emphasized that they treat their customers like family and greet most people by name, as they have their fair share of regulars. One customer left a review stating, “Best restaurant in Brevard!! The food is authentic Italian! The owners are so attentive and the servers are amazing. We feel so comfortable there! The Chef is completely magical! We have had so many different dishes and we have never had anything we did not Love!!.”

Whether it’s a perfectly blended smoothie, a freshly brewed cappuccino, or a warm panini…Smoothie Social Café has a little something for everyone!
Located in the heart of Palm Bay at 160 Malabar Road SW, Suite 111, Smoothie Social Café is a family-and-women-owned and operated, established business that opened its doors in June of 2022. After moving to Palm Bay, Gabrielle Ben (owner) saw a need for somewhere that offers healthy beverage alternatives, not your average sugar loaded drinks and treats. Having lived in New York City and Orlando, where these types of establishments are abundant, Gabrielle sought to fill this void in the community.
Upon entering the café, you are greeted by a bright, open space with warm textures and tiny pops of greenery placed perfectly around the café. Gabrielle Ben, owner, says, “We get a lot of compliments on how our establishment is decorated, people tell us that it is a ‘peaceful vibe’ and we enjoy offering this feeling to our customers.” Aside from the décor, Gabrielle and her staff strive to make customers feel like family through simple gestures, such as remembering their favorite smoothie or Acai bowl flavor. They also use the freshest and highest quality fruits and vegetables for each smoothie to ensure customers get the most nutritional value possible.
Currently, they offer a variety of traditional smoothies, acai bowls, paninis, coffee, and tea. Their menu includes a wide range of flavors for each drink, so you can always find something new to try. They offer home-based and locally sourced products for purchase, such as sea moss, smoothie supplement powders, gluten-free gourmet cookies, hot sauces, and more! They are open seven days a week, with the option to order ahead online. They also have plans to expand their menu soon to include crepes as a fresh food item. Gabrielle says “Game Night” may be introduced in the near future…so stay tuned!
They maintain high ratings and reviews across websites such as Yelp, Google, and Facebook. One person on Google writes: “This place is such a little gem to the area. Açaí bowls are just amazing - refreshing, packed with healthy antioxidant ingredients, and a good fill for the belly! Smoothies are also delicious. It has a cute relaxing setup and sweet staff. Absolutely love and highly recommend!”
When they aren’t creating delicious smoothies, Smoothie Social Café gives back to the community by donating their space so local non-profit organizations, such as Just Right Living, can hold meetings and small gatherings. Congratulations to R&S Soft Water Services Inc.!
(2023 Quarter Four Winner)
“Celebrating 73 years of business!”
If you’ve lived in Palm Bay long enough, you would recognize the building with an R&S logo on the front of it. No, it’s not Radio Shack (however, I wish they would make a comeback), but it is a business that has been around for nearly a century!
R&S Soft Water Services Inc., located at 4520 Babcock Street SE, has been in business since 1949. Originally formed as a home improvement company in Ohio by Robert Rickert and Bryce Seymour, it was later purchased by Mr. William Wilson in 1970, who had a new vision for the company. Mr. Wilson had taken the company to focus primarily on water treatment and moved the business from Ohio to Cocoa, Florida, and then to their permanent residence here in the great City of Palm Bay in 1973.
As a company that can base its success on the longevity of life and a loyal customer base, R&S Soft Water Services has been recently recognized by the City of Palm Bay for its commitment to the community by doing business in the city for the past 50 years! They even go as far as to say they treat customers and employees as family, one employee has been with the company since the very beginning and will be celebrating over 70 years with R&S Soft Water Services.
R&S Soft Water Services is a trusted company here in the City of Palm Bay and a name recognized by most of the community. R&S Soft Water Services has treated many homes here in the City of Palm Bay and the surrounding areas and has a loyal customer base who continue to use their services. One person on Yelp writes: “I have several houses with wells and have been using R&S for over 10 years now for all of my needs. I also have referred them to MANY friends and business associates over the years and always get an emphatic THANK YOU from those who use them.”
As well as being very involved in customer satisfaction, R&S Soft Water Services Inc. has also been very active in the community for decades. Mr. William Wilson was one of the founding members of the Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce and was involved in the Azan Shrine, Moose Lodge, & American Legion. His son Robert continues to be an active member of the community.
Whether your home or business requires water treatment such as softener, purification, or even irrigation, be sure to give R&S Soft Water Services a call to help! They are not a chain but a company that lives, works, and invests in the local community. Their former President, William Wilson, had passed the business onto his son, Robert Wilson, who has not only seen the growth of his dad’s business but also the growth of the city. They believe this has created a thriving environment that has kept them here in the community. “To see where we’re at now is always humbling for me being the second generation,” says owner Robert Wilson. “I’ve made it my life mission to make sure that this business survives. We’ve worked too hard. We’ve put too many years in this community to let it go”.
R&S Soft Water Services Inc. was presented with a Proclamation at the October 5th, 2023, Regular City Council Meeting as the Mayor’s Business Spotlight Program recipient for the fourth quarter of 2023. “For any business to survive ten years, twenty years, but to survive fifty years and be a business that the community stands by, speaks volumes of not only owners of that business but at the same time how much the constituency loves that business,” says Mayor Rob Medina.
