The City of Palm Bay will host a Naming Ceremony on Monday, September 19 at 11:30 a.m. at the formerly named Oakwood Park, 490 Koutnik Road SE in Palm Bay.  The park is being renamed as Patrick Woodard Memorial Park.  The media and public are invited to attend.

Pat Woodard was a lifelong resident of Brevard County and was a resident of the City of Palm Bay for eighteen years.  He was employed with a logistic support contractor at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station for 32 years.  His many accomplishments include serving on the City of Palm Bay Planning and Zoning Board, Member of Florida League of Cities Legislative Policy Council, President of Space Coast League of Cities, Member of Space Coast Growth Management Coalition, Vice Chairman of Brevard County Metropolitan Planning Organization, committee member of Support Our Troops Rally, member of Zion Christian Church.

Pat provided dedicated service to the City of Palm Bay as a member of City Council for 9 years.  Please join Palm Bay as they rename the park in his honor.
