Kids ages 4-17 are invited to join us for Kids to Parks Day with a free nature hike through the Turkey Creek Sanctuary.
Participants should meet at the sanctuary Nature Center no later than 9 AM. The tour will take place on the boardwalk and various trails located throughout the sanctuary and will be led by the park ranger.
The tour is approximately 1 to 1.5 miles long and will focus on common plants and animals found in the sanctuary.
The terrain is mostly sandy on primitive trails with a few wet spots. Participants are asked to dress accordingly and be prepared for a light to moderate hike. Sturdy tennis shoes or boots are recommended.
