| Public Vehicle, Supply and Equipment Auction |

The City of Palm Bay will conduct its annual Public Auction on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Palm Bay Maintenance Facility located at 1050 Malabar Road, SW, Palm Bay, FL 32908.
Gates will open at 8:00 A.M. for inspection and the Auction will begin at 9:30 A.M. George Gideon Auctioneers, Inc. has been authorized to sell at public auction to the highest bidder, regardless of price; City surplus vehicles and forfeiture vehicles of which sale shall be subject to any and all liens. All vehicles, supplies and equipment will be sold "as-is" "where-is". The City makes no warranty or guarantee to the condition, make of manufacturer, model number or operation of any unit of property. All sales are final. The terms of sale are cash only.

| Culver Drive Detour |

The Florida Department of Transportation has advised that Culver Road will be closed December 17, 2008 and will remain closed until January 15, 2009; traffic will be detoured to Minton Road, as the contractor, Community Asphalt, expedites the reconstruction of Culver Road to minimize traffic congestion during the construction of Palm Bay Road. Business traffic will have access from Emerson Drive during this time.
For your safety and the safety of others, please use extreme caution and be alert when driving, walking, or biking around any construction area. Detour signs will be in place to assist motorists.

Neighborhood Stabilization Program Grants

HUD’s new Neighborhood Stabilization Program will provide emergency assistance to state and local governments to acquire and redevelop foreclosed properties that might otherwise become sources of abandonment and blight within their communities. The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) provides grants to every state and certain local communities to purchase foreclosed or abandoned homes and to rehabilitate, resell, or redevelop these homes in order to stabilize neighborhoods and stem the decline of house values of neighboring homes.The program is authorized under Title III of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008.
