Functional Strategy
The Fire Prevention Division ensures compliance of State and Local fire codes relating to all new/existing commercial construction in the City of Palm Bay. The process involves reviewing submitted plans, approval for the issuance of permits, inspecting during all phases of new or existing construction, and issuing certificates of occupancies after final inspection. Conduct fire and arson investigations.

Track Property records for all commercial properties within the City of Palm Bay

Fire Inspection Safety Reports

Files system reports from contractors on "test" and "inspection reports" on commercial properties.

Issue Conditional use Permits (i.e. special events, fairs, circuses and tent sales)
